I was born and raised in
Ohio and enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1985. While stationed on
Guam I became a Christian in 1986. I was brought to the Lord by His grace as I read through one of the Gospels. While on
Guam, I not only became a born again Christian, but I also met my future wife.
After fulfilling my contract with the Marines in 1989, I moved to
Hawaii. I served as a youth pastor with a local church while also working in home remodeling. While in
Hawaii, I married my wife, Kyung, in 1990.We moved to
Ohio to work with youth in 1991. During this time in
Ohio, our two sons were born to us. It was also during this time that I believed the Lord was calling me to further training for ministry.
Hence, in 1995 we moved to
South Carolina to attend
Columbia
International
University. I majored in Bible and Biblical Languages with a minor in Pastoral ministry. Upon graduation in 1999, we moved to sunny
Southern California where I studied and trained at The Master’s Seminary. I graduated in May 2003 with a Master of Divinity.
I am currently working towards a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
My passions include reading, studying, preaching, sharing my Savior with others and spending time with my family. Some of my other joys include encouraging my boys in their High School sporting events, exercising with weights and the quiet hours of the morning.
